Today was Northeastern University's Pan-Asian American Council's First Annual Showcase. They decided to help benefit the Youth Empowerment Project under Asian Task Force Against Domestic Violence which is what I'm a part of!!! :D I got to do the introduction and I did a spoken word poem that I wrote myself. If you guys don't know what spoken word poetry is, it's a type of poetry that you perform while reading out loud. In other words, the poem should feel like it's right there in front of your eyes! Haha. :D

I'm really passionate about fighting social injustice so I was really happy to know an NEU club wanted to help out! :) Youth Empowerment Project is pretty much a group of teenagers that get together and have an education about social injustice. After the education is over, we take those words into actions and start doing protests while raising awareness. It's a really serious job, but at the same time, the experience is so rich and I've met the most incredible bunch of people along the way. ~
