Beauty & Accessory Haul

Hi there, dears!

So before school starts, I finally got the chance to go shopping. :') It feels good! Just wanted to share the purchases I made this week.

Clockwise: Smashbox Jet Set Waterproof Eye Liner in Deep Black, LUSH No Drought Dry Shampoo, Sephora Angled Liner 22
My first impression of the Smashbox gel liner is that it is amazing, but my next blog entry will be a proper review of it so stay tuned for it. ;)

LUSH products are quite tantalizing and dry shampoo is definitely something that should be more popular in the US because it is incredible and useful! I have yet to use this, but I will certainly update you girls about it soon.

This is my first Sephora makeup brush and I can't say I am disappointed. It does the job, but there are probably better brushes out there.

I've been feeling like my accessories have been rather lacking so I went out and bought these gems for 50% off. The set of rings from LOVE CULTURE were ~2 USD because the entire company is going out of business. =( The earrings were both 5 USD each from So Good jewelry. I really adore that place!

Now this purchase is definitely my favorite purchase in awhile. These heels from GUESS are retailed at 110 USD, but I got them on sale for 40!! :') Thank you DSW for being wonderful as usual. I find the brown color to be very easy to wear with a bunch of casual outfits. I don't know about the rest of you but I am not particularly good at walking in heels...I'm practicing though!

That's it for now, but I will definitely update you guys later~

FOTD: Finally Free Lunch Date

Guess who is finally finally finally done with summer classes?! This gal! 8D I am so happy to be over it. This entire summer has felt like an eternal trap in April lol...I've been going from building to building on campus and really, it was so cold inside these overly air conditioned buildings that I started switching to my Autumn gear. -_- Overall, I never got the opportunity to really enjoy summer. I haven't been to the mall once these entire 2 months. That must be a crime somewhere for a beauty blogger like me, right?!

Well yesterday I met with some friends and we just celebrated our completion together. ^_^

Products Used (clockwise):
Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation in #52 Vanilla
Wet n Wild palette in Silent Treatment
e.l.f. single shadow in Driftwood
Milani Easy Brow in Dark Brown
Cover Girl Lash Blast Mascara
B. Brilliant Rich Colour Lip Gloss in Poppy
Revlon Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake
Urban Decay NAKED palette

So I have 18 days to enjoy my summer vacation...I should start on my next cosplay. ;)

Summer Must Haves

Hello, dears!

Summer days are finally getting really warm and it finally feels like summer here! ^_^ As a result, here are the items I use most during the hot months.

My Beauty Diary Arbutin Whitening Mask
This particular mask has made a feature on my blog multiple times. It is a wonderful cooling mask that also makes my skin feel just a little bit brighter. Since summer involves tanning quite a bit, I really try to make sure my skin stays the same tone!

Neutrogena Ultrasheer SPF70
This is the HG of many beauty bloggers as the best sunscreen to use for the face. I absolutely agree. SPF 50/70 is extremely important. UVB/UVA rays are blocked at 96-97% with SPF 50 or 70 which is brilliant and very important if you wish to prevent skin damage. This particular sunscreen doesn't break me out at all and works very well under foundation as a great smoothing base.

Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask
Once again, this product has made several features on my blog. Brilliant for those with acne/enlarged pores! For a more indepth review, click HERE.

 Victoria Secret Brilliant All-Over Powder
I feel like this product also has been mentioned last summer. For a bit more of a sparkly glow, this glitter is great to dust all over the legs and shoulders! It adheres even better on top of sunblock.

The Body Shop Body Butters
Moisturizing the body is still really important, but for summer, I don't need heavy moisturizers. Instead I opt for really nice smelling body butters which also moisturize quite well.

Color Club & GLOW
Color Club has a gorgeous neon orange shade which is very eye catching and really, summer time is the only time to pull this shade off! GLOW is a glow in the dark nail brand which works really well. When you're out late at night, your nails will illuminate the dark! 8D

Bourjois Rouge edition in Fraise remix
This is a gorgeous bordering on neon pink shade. Very barbie-like and great for statement summer looks!

Maybelline Color sensational Coral Lustre
Forever and always my favorite color sensational lippie. Absolutely gorgeous coral shade that still feels moisturizing.

Revlon Lip butters in Tutti Frutti
Yes, I am still in love with tutti frutti! The best moisturizing lippie there is, tutti frutti is a buildable true orange that is so eye catching.

Maybelline Baby Lips
The reason why I like Baby Lips is because it contains SPF15 and you all know how much I stress adding SPF to everything.

SLEEK Ultra Mattes BRIGHTS Palette
Now summer is the only time of the year where wearing color on your lids is at the highest approval rating. So take advantage of it! This particular palette has gorgeous candy colored shades which look fantastic on the eyes and great for a party. ^_^ For more swatches, click HERE.

That just about wraps up the products I've been reaching for the most so far! Hope you enjoyed this post.~

[OOTD & FOTD] Better Weather

Hi there, dears!

The end of May means the start of somewhat warmer weather. I always prefer hot to cold and I completely shed my closet of jeans during summer months. This day wasn't particularly that warm, but I couldn't resist cracking out the crop top and short-shorts. Haha!

Crop Top: Charlotte Russe Shorts: tailor new york
Shoes: PRIMARK Bangle: So Good Earrings: ebay

If you're not ready to wear midriff exposing clothes, then opt for high-waist shorts; they are classier enough for a casual on-the-street feeling. If you really want to oomph the sexiness, find high waist booty shorts. 8D

I know some ladies always have trouble wearing summer clothes because of body issues. I feel like every person has something they are afraid to wear because they are dissatisfied with their appearance. Of course I also have trouble with body peace, but I always find that the most attractive people are the ones who are well dressed--not the thin curvy ones! So don't sweat it and wear what you want!

Products Used:
Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation #52
Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer #52
COVERGIRL clean Pressed Powder #205 Ivory
NAKED 1 Virgin as highlighter
NAKED 1 Buck on eyebrows, Sin on inner corners, Creep as eyeliner
COVERGIRL Lash Blast Mascara
Napoleon Perdis Lip Gloss in Rebecca

In other news, I finally found a job for summer! =w= I'm currently working at Ittoku which is a Japanese sake bar/restaurant right across the street. Talk about convenient. Hahaha!

[NOTD] Watercolor Feathers

Hey there, everyone!

The semester is finally over! My first Brandeisian semester came to an end last Friday. ^_^ I actually miss it already. Of course, not the six hour study sessions, but the high speed internet and friends. Haha! =w=

To celebrate the beginning of our summer vacation, I started to paint my nails again. Towards the last month of school, I really didn't bother. There just didn't seem like a good opportunity and I even cut my nails deadly short to prevent the temptation to paint them...Well, they grew back! Hahahaha

e.l.f. Shimmer Eyeliner Pencils Review

Hello, everyone!

e.l.f. is one of the big budget brands of the US and I particularly find their eye shadows to be a big hit, but I have yet to try their eyeliners. Marshall's sold a five pack of their eyeliners for $10.99 and I really could not resist...:)

Colors from Top to bottom: Plum Passion, Black Bandit, Boldly Bronzed, Twinkle Teal, Gunmetal
