NYX Matte Lip Cream in San Paulo

 Hello, ladies!

We're already halfway through January...which really makes me happy because I am ready to return to better weather. Though to be fair, it hasn't been as cold as it has been previously.

The best part of winter is being able to wear dark colored lippies! I don't have many berry shades in my collection, so when I saw a local CVS stock NYX lip butters, I got really excited. Today, I present NYX Lip Butter in San Paulo.

2015 New Year Resolutions

Hello everyone!

Happy new year all! I know the holidays are a really busy time for everyone, but hopefully you've had some time to relax.

I think this is an obligatory post about how well my 2014 went and I have to say it is one of the best years I've ever had. Ever since the middle of high school, every year after has seemed to get better and better. I really hope this upward trend continues through 2015 and beyond...Looking back, little things that have made me smile throughout the year have really impacted me overall as a whole. I can say I am really satisfied with how things have gone. ^_^

Of course, what new year post is complete without some simple resolutions? Do you ever keep your resolutions? Sometimes I do...

1. Be more fit.
2. Make two cosplays this year.
3. Increase GPA to last a minimum of 3.7. (Academics will understand this ._.)
4. Become a better dancer.

I think everyone can sympathize with being more fit. :P I think as you get older, you somehow start to see how important it actually is to stay in shape. Being thin is not that big of a deal, but being strong is the real end goal. (How am I gonna be able to punch my purse-snatcher?)

Cosplay itself has become a really big deal to me. This year, I plan to cosplay Headhunter Caitlyn from League of Legends.

It looks very difficult and it really is so far, but I've started some progress. I'd be a bad cosplayer not to post major milestones on this cosplay so look out for those posts! The deadline for this is March 7th. That is the time PAX East, a huge video game convention in the northeast, will be held! So you can understand my stress...It's only two months away. :S

Dancing is something I really enjoy, but I'm still very much a beginner. That's why I want to get better at it this year so I can always look cool when ever the moment strikes!

Not many resolutions this year...but I think this is the best way to make sure I keep them.

Happy holidays, everyone! Stay warm! Of course, unless your a reader from the southern hemisphere...

Turning Twenty

Wow, I can't even believe that I have survived two decades! Here I am, leaving my teen years behind...I can really say I am an adult (somehow) even though I feel so young. I remember being in elementary school--even high school--and I thought of college kids as these old mature beings that were way past my level. Now that I'm well into college, I feel the same way about graduate students and I probably will keep feeling this way all my life. We are all so young at every age.

Every year my birthday passes, I always feel so so grateful that I've been given a healthy body and healthy life. Being able to survive a full year with no major health complications is truly a blessing that I am thankful! Every year, I always feel a little less pumped to party and celebrate with lots of people. Just celebrating with some of my close friends really is enough to satisfy me.

I've been having a major sashimi craving. My raw fish craving has lasted awhile now and it still doesn't feel sated! We went to Maki Maki and ate our hearts out on sushi.

Salmon sashimi is my ultimate bias, but I absolutely adore all kinds of raw fish... *_*

My friends surprised me and told the staff it was my birthday. They came and gave me this. Ahh so cute!

My brother and I posing for a photo.
(Why does my face look rounder than usual here? Too much buffet??? LOL)

What really surprised me the most was a PS4. I have been wanting this system for so long and was going to buy it myself on Black Friday, but my brother beat me to the punch and our friends chipped in to get me this...It is such a wonderful and unexpected present. No words to describe how undeserving I am!!! (The above picture is just me spazzing out over it)

It just feels so great to be in good company! I'm really just thankful that I got to share my birthday with people that really care about me. That's really the best part.

All this thanks is reminding me of upcoming Thanksgiving...

Well, hope you ladies have a lovely day!

Post-Halloween

Here I am--attempting to update more frequently! I miss the old days when I'd crank 2-3 posts a week. I'm going to steadily get back into that habit.

Halloween has started to become quite big in other countries, hasn't it? Living in the US, the heart of Halloween celebration, I spent the majority of the day reminiscing when I was younger and it was socially acceptable to go trick-or-treating. Trick-or-treating is one of the greatest joys of childhood. Hahahahaha! :'D Now I am too old...

As a result, we decided just to enjoy the costume aspect of Halloween! I didn't do anything too crazy this time. Just a simple cracked doll look inspired by the amazing Promise Phan. (If you don't watch her on YouTube, you really should. No one knows transformations like Promise!)

I went to a party with friends for about half an hour and then we went home for a late night dinner, brownies, and an episode of an old scary MTV show! All in all, my Halloween is quite simple and clean. Next year I should just throw a small Halloween party.

I don't know about you girls, but I don't really enjoy wild parties all that much. Something about them is kind of off-putting. I guess it is because I don't really go to parties to meet new people. I go to hang out with friends I already know. So I don't get much enjoyment from partying with strangers.

Hope you ladies had fun on your Halloween!

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara Review

Hello, Dolls!

I am back and I really have missed the world of beauty blogging. This past month, I made a big decision in my college path and my major...That sums up the reason why I've been neglecting my blog and haven't been able to visit everyone else's. I've just been sorting things out in my own life. However, I think things are going to run smoothly from here on out and I hope to give you some more interesting and awesome content. ^_^

At the start of the month, I desperately needed a new mascara. Who else gets tired of their straight eyelashes? I know a lot of other Asian women have this problem, but my eyelashes always look so nonexistent and a mascara can really break or make my eyes. So today, I'm here to review Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara!

Beauty & Accessory Haul

Hi there, dears!

So before school starts, I finally got the chance to go shopping. :') It feels good! Just wanted to share the purchases I made this week.

Clockwise: Smashbox Jet Set Waterproof Eye Liner in Deep Black, LUSH No Drought Dry Shampoo, Sephora Angled Liner 22
My first impression of the Smashbox gel liner is that it is amazing, but my next blog entry will be a proper review of it so stay tuned for it. ;)

LUSH products are quite tantalizing and dry shampoo is definitely something that should be more popular in the US because it is incredible and useful! I have yet to use this, but I will certainly update you girls about it soon.

This is my first Sephora makeup brush and I can't say I am disappointed. It does the job, but there are probably better brushes out there.

I've been feeling like my accessories have been rather lacking so I went out and bought these gems for 50% off. The set of rings from LOVE CULTURE were ~2 USD because the entire company is going out of business. =( The earrings were both 5 USD each from So Good jewelry. I really adore that place!

Now this purchase is definitely my favorite purchase in awhile. These heels from GUESS are retailed at 110 USD, but I got them on sale for 40!! :') Thank you DSW for being wonderful as usual. I find the brown color to be very easy to wear with a bunch of casual outfits. I don't know about the rest of you but I am not particularly good at walking in heels...I'm practicing though!

That's it for now, but I will definitely update you guys later~

FOTD: Finally Free Lunch Date

MY LOVES!

Guess who is finally finally finally done with summer classes?! This gal! 8D I am so happy to be over it. This entire summer has felt like an eternal trap in April lol...I've been going from building to building on campus and really, it was so cold inside these overly air conditioned buildings that I started switching to my Autumn gear. -_- Overall, I never got the opportunity to really enjoy summer. I haven't been to the mall once these entire 2 months. That must be a crime somewhere for a beauty blogger like me, right?!

Well yesterday I met with some friends and we just celebrated our completion together. ^_^

Products Used (clockwise):
Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation in #52 Vanilla
Wet n Wild palette in Silent Treatment
e.l.f. single shadow in Driftwood
Milani Easy Brow in Dark Brown
Cover Girl Lash Blast Mascara
B. Brilliant Rich Colour Lip Gloss in Poppy
Revlon Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake
Urban Decay NAKED palette

So I have 18 days to enjoy my summer vacation...I should start on my next cosplay. ;)
